Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced ROV Project Engineer to join our client in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. This is a contractor position with the potential to become a permanent role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the project manager, coordinating with clients and vendors, and ensuring the timely delivery of project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete documentation/manuals associated with newbuild Subsea/ROV systems & Equipment.
• Review procedures and drawings to ensure practicality from an ROV operations perspective.
• Ensure compliance requirements, Industry Codes and Standards, and statutory rules and regulations.
• Uphold policies on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters.
• Prioritise personal and collective safety in all activities.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering studies at a University or College level, or possess equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of ROV offshore operations, particularly in subsea construction and remote intervention.
• Up to date with ISO 13628-8 ‘Design and operation of subsea production systems – Part 8: Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) interfaces on subsea production systems.
• Ability to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment.
• Good knowledge of ROV system design and system-level engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, MathCAD, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate resources, and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to supervise other technical disciplines.

Day-to-Day

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the project manager, clients, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of project documentation. This will involve completing documentation/manuals associated with newbuild Subsea/ROV systems & Equipment, reviewing procedures and drawings, and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and standards.
