Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategy and Business Development Director to drive our client's growth and expansion. As a key leader within the organisation, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic plans, and implementing initiatives to achieve the company's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the company's overall business strategy, including market analysis, competitive intelligence, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances to expand the company's market presence and create new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute business plans that drive revenue growth and enhance the company's competitive position.
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify potential business risks and opportunities.
  • Drive the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new products or services, including pricing, positioning, and distribution strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and driving business development within the engineering or related industry.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and project management skills to effectively drive cross-functional initiatives.

Day-to-day

  • Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic direction and align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to identify areas for business growth and expansion.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Present business plans, market analysis, and growth opportunities to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
